Mary is wearing a ruby red dress with a shimmering dark greenish rode. The patterns behind her throne which is like a bronze and gold makes Mary strike out more, because of the color choices. Baby Christ is wearing a white shirt with a symbol on the left side of his arm, and blue bottoms. If you look closely and The baby's hand, you'll see how he have two fingers up. His eyes are looking at a young boy, whose young saint John. Young John is standing at the base of the throne wearing a brown shirt, and red pants. He have his hands clapped together and looking at Baby Christ. Around the throne is four saints. Their names are Peter, Catherine, an unidentified woman (but could be either Baraba,Lucy, Rosa, and Dorothy) and Paul. Each Saint is wearing a bright and brilliant color. Such as ruby, Gold, Purple, green-blue together and a dash of white. In the background, there are hills showing a little depth, and you can see the castle. The castle is painted small because it shows that the castle is far away, creating a depth in space. There are also symbolism in the painting such as the castle, a symbol on the baby's shirt, the finger gesture, and the halos. The expression on each person's face is soft and have emotion to them. Mary gaze is on young saint john. After looking at the picture bit by bit, take a look at it whole. When you put the pieces to together, its like a wonderful colorful work of art. The colors makes the picture stand-out and vibrant. At the top of the artwork, you'll see a man holding a a blue ball on his right hand, and be his sides are two angels. On the left the angel is green and pink, and on the right the angel is wearing yellow and green. The man is known as the Father God, and the ball symbolizes the globe.
This a painting called "Hercules and Achelous" By Cornelis Cornelisz van Haarleem. In this painting you'll see a man named Hercules fighting river god named Achelous. The River god transformed into a bull to fight off Hercules to be with Princess Deianeira. Hercules grabs the bull by the horns, and put one knee down on the the bull. In the picture you can see the bull struggling to escape from Hercules strength. The painting has a realistic feel to it. The bull has very great details. You can see the bones, and how the muscles are from that posture. If you take a look a Hercules, you can see how his muscles flex by this position, In results the picture is not flat, but more alive. The light and dark are really working together extremely nicely. It's like the sun is shining, and the bull is blocking the sunlight from Hercules leg. That's where you see his right leg in the shade. This picture also has depth to it, showing a few people in the background. Some of people would be familiar to some eyes. On the far right, is a couple of people called naiads and they are filling the horns with flower and fruits. To the right is Hercules fighting with Antaeus. Finally on the left Hercules fights with a great serpent.
