Egyptian art has a vigorous and serene image. This image is the pharaoh of Tutankhamen. The mask is made of semi precious stones. The blue stripes and the blues eyes are made of glass. This artifact weighs about 24 pounds. The expression of the pharaoh's face is stern. Like most paintings, and sculptures the faces are toneless. You can tell by looking at the artwork how they stand so straight. Usually, The pharaoh would have one left leg forward. The position is shown that the Egyptians It brings a feeling of not of movement, because of the body language is very stiff. There are animals in Egyptian painting that would have meanings, and people who has morphed with an animal feature that would be called anthropomorphic. For example; A cat is a scared animal in the household. When a cat is deceased , there will be a ritual where the owner would shave their eyebrows.Another example is the painting of Ra. He has the body of an man, and a face of a hawk. Ra is the god of the sun. Although the artwork is simple with various colors and made with gold, stones, wood, etc. the Egyptian has the way to create the memories that would never fade.

Greek had a different view on the human body. They were fascinated with the body and the movement. The difference between Egyptian and Greek artworks are that Greek statues would show a more dramatic side. For example: This is the statue of Aphrodite by Praxiteles. It was carved in 4th century B.C. The statue of Aphrodite is stunning to look at, because when you look at the statue you'll feel the liveliness and beauty from that piece. When you look closely at her face, you'll a little smile on her face, and her hands is covering up her a bit. It's like its expressing a scenario of her bathing by herself. Aphrodite is was the first goddess that was nude. Greeks has a way to express great emotion in the physical position. The disc of Myron was created from 460-450 B.c. by Myron. Its material is made from bronze. The reason i'm talking about this statue, is because its a perfect example of showing physiques. As you can see the muscles, which show that this person is an athlete. You can also see how he has a disc in the air, and it looks like he's starting to throw the disc. You can feel the energy of that statue, and know its doing. From the two statues you can see how precise artists were when it comes to theirs statues.
